![]() Sarah's current work explores ideas of time and memory and our transient relationship with the past. Old carved figures offer glimpses into lost worlds of personal and collective histories; they are battered by years but still stand unmoving, not wholly part of the present. She is concerned with ancient myths and allegory as tools to explore wider ideas and is also drawn to objects imbued with significance - relics, religious icons and even photographs – and how they can come to represent, even replace, an intangible idea or belief.
